Udawalawe National Park, located on the boundary of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces, is one of the best places in the world to see wild elephants up close. Covering 308 sq. km, the park is famous for its large elephant population, with herds of 100+ elephants often seen roaming freely across open grasslands and near the Udawalawe Reservoir.

Apart from elephants, the park is home to water buffalo, crocodiles, deer, jackals, and a variety of bird species – making every safari a memorable adventure.
